These shishito peppers are SUCH a yummy snack! They have a very mild spicy taste, so you can enjoy them even if you don't like spicy food!
I always get shishito peppers at my favorite sushi place, and never realized until recently how easy they are to prepare! So put down the junk food, and give these a try the next time you feel like snacking!
INGREDIENTS
-2 handfuls shishito peppers
-Salt & Pepper
-1 clove grated garlic
-Soy sauce
-Juice of 1/2 lime
DIRECTIONS
1. Rinse the shishito peppers and heat olive oil in a medium sized skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Once the skillet is hot, add the shishito peppers and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until charred and blistered, stirring occasionally. It should take about 5 minutes for the peppers to get charred.
3. About a minute before the shishito peppers are finished, add the garlic and saute.
4. Once peppers are finished cooking, remove peppers to a plate. Drizzle with soy sauce and lime juice and toss to mix. Eat everything but the stem!
